Great bathroom design transforms how you start and end each day. Here's how our designers approach bathrooms.
Bathrooms are increasingly one of the most important spaces in a home — no longer purely functional, but a place of genuine luxury and retreat. Yorkshire homeowners are investing more in their bathrooms than ever before, and the results can be extraordinary.
At TYA Builds, our bathroom designs begin with understanding how the space will be used — whether it is a family bathroom used by multiple people on a rushed school morning, a quiet en-suite for a couple, or a spa-like primary bathroom with a freestanding bath. Each scenario demands a different design response.
Materials we're using in Yorkshire bathrooms in 2025 include: large format porcelain tiles (often 120×60cm or larger) in stone-effect finishes; natural marble for feature walls and vanity tops; aged oak for floating vanity units; brushed brass and blackened steel ironmongery; and fluted glass in shower screens and cabinetry. Walk-in showers with bench seating and multiple shower heads are increasingly standard in primary bathrooms.
