The Interior Design Process at TYA Builds: From Brief to Build

What does the interior design process actually involve? Here's how we work with clients at TYA Builds.

Interior design at TYA Builds is not a separate service bolted on after the architecture is done — it is integrated into the design process from the very beginning. Here's how it works.

Stage 1 — Brief: We spend time understanding your aesthetic preferences, lifestyle, and functional requirements. We share reference images, discuss what you love and what you don't, and develop a clear brief for each space.

Stage 2 — Concept: Our designers produce mood boards and material palette proposals for your feedback. These cover flooring, wall finishes, joinery, kitchen and bathroom design, and key furniture pieces.

Stage 3 — Developed Design: Once the concept is approved, we develop detailed specifications — precise materials, finishes, dimensions, and sourcing information for every element of every room.

Stage 4 — Technical Coordination: Our interior design drawings are coordinated with the architectural and services drawings to ensure that everything is buildable and that all technical requirements (drainage, ventilation, lighting, structural) are addressed.

Stage 5 — Installation: Our in-house team installs all joinery, flooring, tiling, and fitted elements, coordinated by the design team to ensure every detail is executed as intended.
